Healthy Diet: One way to know you are eating a nutritious meal is the energy level you have after eating the meal. You should feel energized, not sluggish and tired afterwards. After all, food is fuel!
Exercise: Regular exercise looks different for different people. Walking, Running, Yoga, Zumba, Biking, Rowing, Swimming, Dancing, Hiking, Tennis, etc… Pick which works best for you!
Quality Sleep: Making sure to get a healthy amount of sleep each night. For some people 8 hours a night is sufficient, while others feel rested with 6 hours a night. Listen to your own body and if you do not feel rested when you wake, increase the time. If you feel rested when you wake, let it be! Just a side note, more than 8 hours sleep can make you feel sluggish as well.
Stop the negative talk: Stop negative talk as soon as it begins..! It’s as simply as stating.. “not doing this today!” By countering negative thoughts immediately, you prevent the negative thought process to consume all of your positive energy and eventually this negative thought process will diminish.
Make time for FUN: Most of us have obligations, work commitments, as well as family commitments. That is why it is so important to consciously make time for YOU! Get out your planner and put YOU in it and schedule things that make YOU happy.
